Kiwis Miss Out on Anthropic IPO, Aussies Included

New Zealand retail investors have been excluded from the upcoming IPO of AI company Anthropic. While Kiwis can't participate directly, they will have the opportunity to purchase shares once they start trading on Nasdaq.

Australians, however, have a chance to join the float, gaining an early investment opportunity. The situation highlights the differences in access to major IPOs between the two countries.

New Zealand investors will still have the option to acquire Anthropic shares through the Nasdaq after the launch. This route allows Kiwis to participate in the investment but without the direct access enjoyed by some Australian investors.

The IPO has generated significant interest due to the company’s focus on artificial intelligence, making it a notable event in tech investment circles.
