Auckland Rail Network Closed for CRL Loop Completion

The Auckland rail network is currently closed as work continues on the City Rail Link (CRL) loop. Auckland Transport and KiwiRail have not provided a timeline for when services will resume.

The final stages of construction are underway for the underground loop, which is a significant component of Auckland’s transport infrastructure. As crews work to complete the project, commuters are being advised to seek alternative travel arrangements.

Despite the closure, officials from Auckland Transport and KiwiRail have kept the public in the dark regarding a reopening date. More information may be released as project milestones are achieved.

The completion of the CRL loop is anticipated to bring a major upgrade to the region’s rail services, enhancing connectivity and reducing travel times for many.

As work progresses, updates will be provided to keep commuters informed about the status of the network and expected timelines for reopening.
