Te Puke Community Fund Established for Local Support
The Te Puke Community Charitable Trust has officially established the Te Puke Community Fund. This initiative aims to provide ongoing support for the local community through a partnership with the Eastern Bay Community Foundation.
Trustees Nicola Cooke, Karen Summerhays, Dale Snell, and Jenny Wotten signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Angela Jackson to launch the fund. Designed as a legacy fund, it will help preserve the capital donated by the community while delivering benefits year after year.
The trust and the foundation will collaborate to promote the fund to local donors, community groups, and organisations. Contributions made to the Te Puke Community Fund will be invested for long-term benefit, with annual income distributed to support a variety of local initiatives.
Each year, an annual public statement will be released, detailing the donations received, the income generated, and the grants awarded. This transparency will ensure that the community remains informed about the fund's impact and contributions.
