Youth Street Art Workshop Coming to Katikati Skate Park

Young people aged 7 to 17 are invited to take part in a free four-day street art workshop at the Katikati Skate Park next month. Organised by Peri St John-Ives of Katikati Open Air Art, Street Art with Kalib Wallace will run from 9am to 5pm on 19–22 June, with the skate bowl set to be transformed through spray painting.

Selected Katikati College students will receive direct tuition from Wallace on 19 and 22 June, while the weekend days of 20–21 June are open to any rangatahi aged 7–17 who want to turn up and join in — no experience required. All art supplies have been sponsored, so there's no cost to participants.

The finished artwork will be revealed at a community celebration at the park on 28 June from 10am, featuring food, a DJ, prizes, and live demonstrations. More information is available on the Katikati Open Air Art Facebook page.
