Bowentown Playground to Undergo Major Upgrade

The Bowentown playground is getting a makeover thanks to funding from the Western Bay of Plenty District Council. The upgrade will bring a mix of active play and natural elements, shaped by community feedback.

Features of the refreshed playground will include swings, climbing frames, and natural play elements like logs and rocks. A new accessible boardwalk and rock seating area will also be added, enhancing safety and community use.

The project is part of a broader playground renewal initiative, ensuring that Tui Park remains a welcoming place for families and children. Work commenced recently and is expected to complete by May, weather permitting.
