Medical Centre Proposal Withdrawn from Waihī Beach Reserve

A proposal to build a new medical centre at Waihī Beach has been withdrawn following community consultation. The decision comes after more than half of submissions opposed the location.

Primary Health Care Limited had aimed to enhance healthcare services in the area, but the feedback indicated a clear lack of consensus on the site. The council highlighted the importance of public consultation in ensuring community needs are met. Despite the setback, there is ongoing support for improving healthcare capacity in Waihī Beach.
