Western Bay Council Appoints New General Manager

The Western Bay of Plenty District Council has appointed Annika Lane as its new General Manager of Strategy and Community. She brings valuable experience back to the council after working across various regions.

Lane takes on her new role from March 23, having previously served the council from 2006 to 2010. Her extensive background includes positions at Auckland Council and the Cook Islands National Environment Service.

In her new role, she will focus on spatial planning and community-centered outcomes, shaping the region’s future development while ensuring inclusivity in the council's strategic initiatives.
