Community Welcomes ‘Have a Go’ Try-Athlon in Ōmokoroa

Pahoia School is set to host a 'have a go' try-athlon aimed at encouraging local children to explore multisport activities. Scheduled for March 21, the event is already drawing significant interest.

With 65 children registered so far, the try-athlon welcomes kids aged five to 13 to experience a fun multi-sport environment. Participants will swim, cycle, and run at Ōmokoroa Domain, with distances suited to varying age groups.

The initiative prioritizes accessibility and fun, fostering a love for sport among youngsters. Major sponsorship from Apata, a local horticulture business, reinforces community support for the event.
