Fairview Estate secures golf course future until 2061

Residents of Fairview Estate in the Bay of Plenty have something to celebrate, with the community's golf course officially secured under the Country Club umbrella through to 2061. Following a strong vote of support from Country Club members, the facility has been formally added as a Country Club asset, giving certainty to more than 400 residents who call the estate home.

With the change comes a new name — the community will now operate as Fairview Golf and Country Club, a title that reflects the full range of lifestyle facilities on offer, including a health studio, indoor pool and spa, tennis courts, BBQ areas, a clubhouse with indoor and outdoor seating, and an on-site café alongside the 18-hole course.

Kat Gardner, Chairperson and newly appointed General Manager of the Fairview Golf and Country Club, said the decision unified all the village's facilities and strengthened what made the place special. Resident of 17 years and licensed real estate agent Ross Collins described it as a significant outcome that reinforced Fairview's standing as one of the Bay of Plenty's most desirable lifestyle communities.

Aran Blackmore, speaking on behalf of Fairview Estate Limited, said the result was achieved through productive collaboration between members, the committee, and the owners, and that the community spirit and amenities at Fairview would now be retained for decades to come. Membership is open to people from across the Bay of Plenty — you don't need to live at Fairview to join.
