Katikati recovery event to connect storm-affected residents with support agencies
A community information evening called Pathways to Recovery is being held in Katikati to connect residents affected by severe weather with the agencies and experts supporting their recovery. The event is scheduled for 6.30–8.30pm on Thursday 19 February at Pātuki Manawa, in the Boyd and McKinney Rooms.
Attendees will be able to hear presentations and speak one-on-one with representatives from a range of organisations including Inland Revenue, the Ministry of Social Development, Health New Zealand, the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment (temporary accommodation), the New Zealand Claims Resolution Service, council infrastructure staff, and the Emergency Management Response Team.
The evening is designed to give affected whānau a direct line to the right people and information as they work through ongoing recovery needs.
