New Youth Park Planned for Katikati

Katikati is set to transform its Moore Park skatepark into a multi-faceted Youth Park. With significant community interest, plans are being rapidly developed to enhance the recreational space.

The Western Bay of Plenty District Council and the Katikati Community-Led Development group have signed an agreement to move forward with this project. The plans include a BBQ area, additional seating, basketball facilities, and creative spaces for local youth.

Community support has steadily increased, with over $100,000 raised. As plans proceed, immediate neighbours will be consulted to ensure the park meets local needs and desires.
