Katikati Students Team Up with Celebrity Chef at Avo Fest

A group of Katikati College students have taken on a hands-on role at this weekend's Avo Fest. With celebrity chef Chelsea Winter leading the way, they're set to gain invaluable experience in hospitality.

The eight Year 10-13 students will rotate as sous-chefs for cooking demonstrations, preparing dishes for festival guests. Hospitality department head Karyn Williams believes this opportunity opens doors for students considering careers in the food industry.

The festival promises a vibrant atmosphere with live music, culinary displays, and activities for all ages. Attendees can look forward to flavoursome dishes, including Chelsea’s avocado-inspired creations.
