Katikati College Students Proud of New Logo and House System
Students at Katikati College are overwhelmingly enthusiastic about their school's newly designed logo, motifs, and house system, having played an active role in the creative process throughout 2025. Year 8 students Monty Groenewald, George Donaldson, Parker Airey and others were among those involved, with one noting the new logo "represents the school better."
Student Hannah-Marie Newman said she appreciated how the design showcased what the school stands for today, and particularly loved the new house names because they reflect the local environment. The college's 2025 head students — Hannah Gourlay, Jack Harray, Rajveer Sania Kaur, and Charlotte Tanner — were also part of the focus group that shaped the new logo over the course of the year.
The Katikati News had covered the official launch of the new visual identity the previous week; this follow-up focused on hearing directly from the rangatahi who helped bring the designs to life.
