Christmas in the Junction Brings Festive Magic to Katikati

The Arts Junction in Katikati has been transformed into a festive wonderland for whānau this holiday season, running from 15 to 28 December 2025. The reimagined Santa's Grotto offers families a mix of movies, music, storytelling, and festive displays all under one roof.

Katikati events manager Kylie Watkins said the programme has something for everyone, with the Junction Theatre dressed up to spread Christmas cheer throughout the community. "It's a place to soak up the feeling of Christmas and always puts a smile on everyone's face," she said.

Santa will be making special guest appearances daily from 17 to 24 December, giving tamariki the chance to grab a photo or selfie with the man in red. No bookings are needed — families can simply drop in during advertised times.
