Katikati College Unveils New Logo and House System

Katikati College recently launched a new logo and house system following extensive community consultation. This refresh aims to better reflect the school's identity and connection to the local environment.

The new logo replaces a design from 1955, incorporating elements that resonate with today's community values such as Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga, and Kaitiakitanga. Four new houses named after local features—Mountain, River, Beach, and Sea—have also been introduced to foster unity among students.

Principal Lousie Buckley emphasised the importance of involving community members in the design process to create something truly representative of their identity.
