Katikati AvoFest 2026 Road Closures Planned for Stewart and Major Streets

Western Bay of Plenty District Council has given public notice of planned road closures in Katikati for the 2026 AvoFest event, scheduled for Saturday, 10 January 2026.

Stewart Street and Major Street will both be closed in their entirety to ordinary vehicular traffic from 8:00am to 8:00pm on that day. The closures are being made under the Local Government Act 1974 to facilitate the annual festival. It will be an offence for any person to use the closed roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the specified period unless authorised by permit.
