Katikati's Sculpture Barry Missing This Christmas

Katikati's iconic sculpture, Barry, will not be back in place on Main Road this Christmas. The beloved 'Relaxed Typical Kiwi Bloke' is currently undergoing repairs after a vehicle accident.

Unfortunately, the timeline for Barry's return remains uncertain as the sculptor navigates insurance processes. Alongside Barry, his canine companion 'Jack' also suffered damage and will be repaired in Christchurch.

The Katikati Open Air Art committee hopes to have both sculptures restored as soon as possible, maintaining the town's artistic charm during the festive season.
