New Resource Recovery Centre Opens in Ōmokoroa

Ōmokoroa is set to gain a Resource Recovery Centre, offering a sustainable approach to waste management. This initiative aims to create jobs for individuals with intellectual disabilities while promoting recycling in the community.

Opening on November 18, the centre will accept various donations of homewares, furniture, and appliances. The effort, led by the Resource Collective, focuses on removing items from landfills and providing meaningful work opportunities. Everyone is invited to donate and shop sustainably.
