Dog Agility Equipment Fundraise Nears Finish Line at Katikati Park

Phil Christophersen and his heading dog Emma have been regulars at the Katikati Dog Park in Donegal Reserve since it was fenced last year, and since March the pair have been on a mission to get agility equipment installed there.

Local group KatchKatikati helped raise funds to purchase the timber, while volunteers from the Katikati Men's Shed stepped up to build the equipment. Now the project just needs a little more funding to cover installation costs, along with council sign-off on the exact placement.

"It would be really good to see the equipment placed down here soon," Christophersen said. "Emma would enjoy the dog agility course. I think a lot of other dogs which come here would be keen on it too. The gear would also bring more visiting dog owners and dogs to the park."
