Katikati Volunteer Firefighters Complete MVA Training

Katikati's volunteer firefighters have boosted their confidence with recent training on handling motor vehicle accidents. This two-day course was hosted at Henry's Rod Shop.

The training, organized by acting chief officer Craig Gray, included firefighters from nearby brigades, emphasising teamwork and community safety. Participants learned vital extrication techniques using donated vehicles, which were set up to mimic real-life accident scenarios. This training is crucial as Katikati firefighters frequently respond to accidents on State Highway 2.
