Waihī Beach Lifeguards Celebrate 90 Years

Waihī Beach Lifeguard Services Inc is gearing up for an exciting weekend to celebrate its 90th anniversary. From November 7-9, a series of events will honour the club's history and contributions to beach safety.

Festivities kick off with a mix-and-mingle night, followed by a tribute to the surf boat as part of the celebrations. The highlight will be a paddle out with participants honoring past members while showcasing rescue demonstrations from years gone by.

A memorial stone will also be unveiled, recognising the dedication of volunteers and lifeguards who have contributed to the safety of Waihī Beach over the decades.
