Katikati's Abbeyfield House Welcomes First Residents

After six years of fundraising and development, Abbeyfield House in Katikati has welcomed its first tenants. This new facility aims to provide affordable housing for seniors in a community-oriented setting.

The house features 14 studio-style rooms within a supportive environment. Abbeyfield WBOP chairperson Carole Parker expressed excitement at transforming the house into a home for its residents.

With the focus on social connection, Abbeyfield provides an opportunity for residents to form friendships and engage in communal activities.
