Mayor James Denyer outlines Te Puke progress and future plans

Mayor James Denyer has highlighted significant progress made in Te Puke while outlining ambitious plans for the community's future. Recent achievements include major road works and upgrades, completion of the spatial plan for Te Puke, cost-saving initiatives, expansion of community board representation, upgraded and new playgrounds, a new bridge on No. 4 Road, and progression of Rangiuru Business Park to signed tenancies.

Looking ahead, the mayor's priorities include finalising a Regional Deal for key projects such as enabling housing, State Highway 29 upgrades, port access improvements, and TNL2 infrastructure. Additionally, the council plans to seek options to alleviate traffic through Te Puke, continue local roading repairs and upgrades, explore options for a proposed new swimming pool, and implement a new wastewater plant to support community growth.
