Disc Golf Course Opens at Donovan Park in Te Puke

Disc golf has officially landed in Te Puke with a brand-new nine-hole course now open at Donovan Park. The course was developed by the Tauranga Disc Golf Association and made possible through funding from the Te Puke Community Board. The course is designed to be accessible, family-friendly, and welcoming to newcomers.

Unlike the challenging terrain of McLaren Falls Park, Donovan Park offers open fairways and wooded areas with a flatter, more open layout that's perfect for beginners and casual players. Committee member Jordan Kemen said the course strikes a balance between fun and challenges. Currently, only the first phase has been completed, with permanent tees still to be installed.
