Descendants of Katikati's First Settlers Attend 150th Events

Families of Katikati's founding Ulster Irish settlers reunited during the town's 150th anniversary events. This heartfelt gathering amplified the community spirit and historical significance of the occasion.

Julie and Peter Gray, direct descendants of settlers George Vesey Stewart and William John Gray, brought their family from Hamilton to participate in the celebrations. They reflected on their ancestors' contributions to building the township and maintaining its rich history.
