Katikati Vehicle Parade to Kick Off 150th Anniversary Weekend

As part of Katikati's celebration of 150 years since the Ulster Irish settlers arrived, a vehicle parade is set to take place. Residents are encouraged to join and enjoy a day filled with vintage vehicles and local entertainment.

The parade will start at Moore Park at 10 am, with vehicles mustering at 9 am. Doug Brown, who has lived in Katikati for over 50 years, will lead the parade in his iconic ‘ECOAVO’ truck. Spectators are invited to line the streets to witness the array of vintage and classic cars.

Following the parade, festivities continue at the Town Square with free entertainment for everyone. This event not only showcases the town's history but also strengthens community ties, making for an exciting weekend in Katikati.
