Bay Venues Awarded Contract to Manage Te Puke Memorial Pool

Western Bay of Plenty District Council has awarded Bay Venues the contract to run Te Puke Memorial Pool for the next four years, with a two-year performance-based extension option. The move aims to allow Te Puke communities to expand learn-to-swim programmes and support groups that struggle to access pool space elsewhere, resulting in better access and more effective use of public pools.

The WBOPDC owns the pool plant, changing rooms for disabled people, and other equipment at Te Puke Memorial Pool, which is located at Te Puke High School on land owned by Waitahaiwi and leased to the Ministry of Education.
