Katikati to Celebrate 150 Years of Irish Settlement

Katikati is set to step back in time as it celebrates 150 years since the arrival of Ulster Irish settlers. A weekend of events from September 12-14 promises to engage the whole community.

The highlight will be the Settlers' Dance on September 13 at the Katikati War Memorial Hall. This family-friendly event features a 12-piece band performing a variety of music from 1875 to the 1950s.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in period costume to fully immerse themselves in the historical experience. Entry is by donation, promoting a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all ages.
