Western BOP Council Opens Summer Sports Field Bookings for 2025–26

The Western Bay of Plenty District Council is calling on sports clubs and casual users to get their summer season bookings in for fields and hard courts. The upcoming season runs from 1 October 2025 to 31 March 2026, and while there is no charge to the public for using the facilities, bookings are still required to guarantee availability.

Council says the booking system helps it keep track of usage patterns and plan ahead for future demand. It also allows maintenance work such as mowing and turf renovations to be scheduled around when facilities are actually in use.

Anyone wanting to apply should do so as soon as possible. Application forms are available on the Council website at www.westernbay.govt.nz, by phoning 0800 926 732, or by sending written applications to Western Bay of Plenty District Council, Private Bag 12803, Tauranga Mail Centre, Tauranga 3143. Applications can also be emailed to reservebookings@westernbay.govt.nz.
