Road Widening Project Begins at SH2/Ōmokoroa Rd

Preparations are underway for a significant road widening project at the SH2/Ōmokoroa Rd roundabout, set to improve traffic flow. Work is slated to begin in the coming weeks and will span approximately three months.

The first phase will see traffic adjustments, with the southbound lane shifted to allow for road expansion. Youngson Rd will temporarily be closed for vehicles entering and exiting during these changes. This upgrade is part of a long-term plan for a safer and more efficient transport network that meets the growing needs of the Ōmokoroa area.
