Katikati's 'Portrait of a Town' Exhibition Opens Soon

Katikati residents can soon glimpse their town's past with the new exhibition, 'Katikati: Portrait of a Town'. Opening on August 4, the display will run until September 30 at the local library.

This free exhibition features a collection of photographs, maps, and paintings, highlighting the evolution of Katikati from its early settlement days to the 1970s. It coincides with Family History Month and commemorates 150 years since Ulster Irish settlers arrived. Curated by Sandra Haigh, the exhibition aims to engage both newcomers and long-time residents, showcasing the town’s rich heritage.
