Youth-Led Skate Lab Day Builds Skills and Community Spirit

A vibrant Skate Lab day held at Katikati Baptist Church, organised by local teens, aimed to connect youth through skateboarding. The event was a blend of fun and learning, boosting skills while advocating for safety.

Teen coordinators Michael Head and Liam Thomas-Kean led workshops on skateboard maintenance and safety, encouraging peers to engage in the sport. Donna Hannah facilitated a first aid session, raising awareness about safety at the skatepark.
