Youth Murals Unveiled in Katikati

Katikati welcomed two colorful murals on June 26, crafted by primary school students under the theme 'What Makes Your Heart Sing?'. The vibrant artworks were unveiled outside The Arts Junction to the delight of the young artists and their families.

The project, part of the Katikati Open Air Art initiative, involved students from multiple local schools including Katikati Primary and Waihi Beach School. Art manager Peri St. John-Ives expressed amazement at the children's creativity and focus during the project.

These murals aim to remind the community of the joy found in simple things, celebrating the artistic contributions of rangatahi in the region. Community members are encouraged to visit and appreciate this public art installation.
