Waihī Beach Library Set to Open in New Larger Space

Waihī Beach Library is preparing to move to a much larger and modern building called Te Ara Mātauranga. The current library closed temporarily to facilitate the transition.

The new facility will be four times the size of the current library and will offer a range of new programmes and services. Opening day is set for July 1, and a blessing ceremony will be held at 10am to mark the occasion, followed by public access from 2pm.

This move aims to serve the growing needs of the community, providing more space for activities that promote learning and connection.
