Major infrastructure upgrades underway on Boucher Avenue

Western Bay of Plenty District Council is undertaking major upgrades to Boucher Avenue and surrounding streets starting mid-June 2025, with work expected to run for around nine months. The project includes road rehabilitation, stormwater improvements, and replacement of aging water pipes. Residents and road users should expect stop/go signs, detours, and one-lane traffic during construction. A community information session is being held at Te Puke Fire Station on Saturday 7 June from 2-4pm. For access queries, contact Mike Metcalfe, Fulton Hogan Stakeholder Manager, and for general project information, contact Western Bay of Plenty District Council via their website or phone line.
