Pink Ribbon Breakfast Returns to Incredible Edibles in Katikati

The team at Incredible Edibles in Katikati is hosting their fifth Pink Ribbon Breakfast on Sunday 18 May, from 9am to 11.30am at 76 Lockington Road. Guests can enjoy a rolling breakfast featuring bacon and egg sandwiches or garden-fresh pancakes with fruit, prepared by Lucia Valleliy and a team of friends. The popular Prancing Rose coffee cart will also be on site, with a portion of every coffee sold going directly to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

Co-founder Fiona Boylan first held a Pink Ribbon Breakfast at Incredible Edibles back in 2016, with subsequent events in 2017, 2019 and 2021. The 2021 event raised close to $5,000, and the team is hoping to match or beat that figure this year, with a target of 130 attendees. Alongside breakfast, guided tours of the flourishing edible garden will give visitors the chance to discover feijoas, persimmons, casimiroas and guavas while learning stories behind the plants.

The morning will also include raffles, homemade baking and a plant sale. Tickets are $30, with all proceeds going to the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation to support research, medical grants and services for patients and their whānau. Tickets can be purchased through Lucia Valleliy on 021 273 9943, or donations made via the team's fundraising page at https://fundraise.bcf.org.nz/fundraisers/incredibleedibles/pinkribbonbreakfast.
