Katikati Community to Learn Budget Cooking Skills

A new course aimed at teaching budget-friendly cooking is launching in Katikati. Kura Kai's Megan Branks will guide participants in using seasonal produce creatively.

Starting this Wednesday, the 'Cooking on a Budget' course focuses on smart shopping and meal planning. Participants will learn to optimize ingredients and create several dishes from single items, such as transforming pumpkin into frittata, curry, and soup. The Kura Kai initiative aims to support community members facing rising food costs.

Classes will run weekly from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Katikati College. Everyone is welcome to enroll for a small fee.
