Vada's Angels Animal Rescue Seeks Support Amid Challenges

Vada’s Angels Animal Rescue in Tauranga is calling for community support as it faces overwhelming demands. Rising costs and an influx of animals have put tremendous financial strain on the operation.

Currently housing 25 rescue dogs and with 50 in foster care, the team is committed to addressing a growing crisis of abandoned pets. Recent pleas on social media successfully raised $10,000 via community donations, helping alleviate immediate financial pressures.

Thompson noted that while donations are crucial, the ongoing issue of unspayed pets and economic hardship in the community continues to drive surrender rates higher than ever.
