Katikati Police Welcome New Station Support Officer

The Katikati Police District has welcomed a new face to its team, with Olivia Henderson joining as the station's new support officer. Sergeant Steve Hindmarsh announced the appointment, describing it as a positive step for the district.

The role is a non-sworn position covering public counter duties and a wide range of administrative tasks. Hindmarsh said freeing up frontline staff from those responsibilities would allow officers to spend more time out on the streets, from Wairoa to Tahawai. Henderson transferred to Katikati from a similar position at the Paeroa Police Station.
