Katikati Festival of Cultures Celebrates Diversity

The recent Katikati Festival of Cultures drew in thousands, showcasing a range of cultural backgrounds through food and performances. The vibrant event featured a flag parade and lively activities in Moore Park.

With over 26 countries represented, the festival highlighted both traditional and modern cultural expressions, including kapa haka and Cambodian dances. A significant moment was the Holi-inspired powder throw, which was a favourite among children.

Food stalls offered international cuisine, allowing attendees to experience flavours from around the world, embodying the spirit of community and unity.
