New Art Exhibition 'The Beautiful Tension' Opens in Katikati

Katikati's Carlton Gallery is now hosting an intriguing new exhibition titled 'The Beautiful Tension' by local artist Marcel Zwezerynen. This collection of steel artworks delves into the chaotic beauty found in life.

The exhibition features around 16 pieces that explore the themes of chaos and control. Zwezerynen aims to provoke thought and spark conversations through works like 'Crispr Franken Fruit,' which comments on gene technology's environmental impacts.

Zwezerynen, born in Taupo, has his art displayed internationally and has created significant local installations, including sculptures along the Katikati Bird Walk. The exhibition is free to view, making it accessible for all community members to appreciate.
