Heleina Jones Wins Show Hunter High Points at A&P Show

Heleina Jones, a 16-year-old rider from Katikati, has triumphed at the 100th Katikati A&P Show, winning the show hunter high points award. Her impressive performance in competitive classes showcased her dedication and skill.

Competing against 40 seasoned riders, Jones excelled with her horse Finding Nemo (Archie), who is still relatively inexperienced. She highlighted the foundational skills gained through show hunter, which will aid her in future show jumping endeavours.

Heleina's success is also a family affair, with her mother Lori Clarke participating in the event. The competition set a remarkable standard for future riders in the region, fostering a strong equestrian community.
