Local Student Kyra Murray Receives Scholarship

Kyra Murray, a recent Katikati College graduate, is headed to Victoria University to study biomedical science with dreams of becoming a pharmacist. She received a $6,000 scholarship from the Bay of Plenty Education Trust.

Murray was one of 19 students awarded a scholarship aimed at supporting future leaders in science and technology. The scholarship, which totals $6000, will be disbursed over the students' tertiary studies, reflecting the trust's commitment to investing in the Bay's youth. With aspirations to impact the medical field, Murray expressed her disbelief at winning the award.
