Harris Cup Returns Home After 12-Year Absence

The prestigious Harris Cup, named after Selwyn Harris who established the surf lifesaving base at Pukehina, has returned home after a 12-year absence. The annual Harris Cup Carnival was hosted at Pukehina Surf Rescue's newly-constructed clubhouse, attracting 259 competitors including 82 life-saving club members aged between 5 and 14 years old. Participants represented clubs from Pukehina, Ōpōtiki, Whakatāne, Maketū and Waihī, celebrating the return of this important trophy to its original home.
