Katikati’s Pancake Thursdays Return for Students

Katikati's popular Student Pancake Thursdays are set to return. Held at St Peter’s Anglican Church, the initiative brings together students for a tasty breakfast before school.

Pastor Patrick Rounds, the man behind the initiative, started it last year to keep students engaged on Thursday mornings. With help from 18 volunteers, they serve delicious pancakes topped with cream, maple syrup, and fruit, alongside a warm cup of Milo. The atmosphere is buzzing, and many students, including those who might otherwise skip school, join in to enjoy this treat every week.

As the program continues, there are calls for donations to support the weekly costs, which total around $200. If you're keen to help or get involved, reach out to Patrick at 027 978 6926.
