Waipuna Hospice Calls on Community for 2025 Hero Challenge

Waipuna Hospice is encouraging people across the Bay of Plenty to sign up for its 2025 Hospice Hero Challenge this March. The fundraising initiative gives participants the chance to take on a personal challenge, seek sponsorship from friends and whānau, and raise money to support people in the community who are terminally ill or bereaved.

Staff at Waipuna Hospice are leading by example, with a team entering the challenge under the name 'Team Waipuna Hospice'. The hospice noted that sponsorship from friends and family not only provides motivation to complete the challenge but also helps maximise the funds raised for those who need palliative care and bereavement support.
