Western Bay Museum Seeks Volunteers and Friends Members

The Western Bay Museum in Katikati is calling on community members to join its volunteer team and become Friends of the Museum. Located at the Old Fire Station on Main Road, the museum is open free of charge Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm, and on weekends and public holidays from 11am to 3pm.

The Friends membership programme offers a range of benefits including a quarterly newsletter, invitations to exhibition openings and special events, and monthly talks on specialist subjects. Membership fees start at $30 for individuals and $50 for families, with lifetime options also available.

Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to get in touch via email. The museum's current exhibition, Mawhiti Tino Rawe – Clever Crustaceans, is among the displays visitors can explore during the summer months.
