Epic Te Puke Photo Competition Launches to Celebrate Local Community

Epic Te Puke has launched a photo competition in conjunction with Te Puke Creative Forum, offering prizes and the chance to see photographs enlarged and displayed in an open-air exhibition. The competition features three categories: local pets (for children 13 and under), local people, and local places, with separate age groups for the latter two.

Photographs will be enlarged and printed on aluminium for display around the walkway, with local pet finalists placed on easels. Judges will assess entries based on emotional connection, technical ability, composition, sharpness, and proficiency. The local pets category is sponsored by Te Puke Vets, local people by Sub10 Training and Recovery Ltd, and local places by Property Brokers representatives Todd Jenkins and Abby Blain.

The competition closes on March 14 and aims to capture the essence of Te Puke. Marketing manager Rebecca Larsen expressed hope for strong entries, noting that the initiative builds on a successful format established during Easter events held over the past two years.
